The Gym Kitchen has added two high-protein ready meals to its Tesco range, responding to rising consumer demand for convenient, nutritionally focused options. The new line includes High Protein Honey BBQ Pulled Pork and High Protein Pesto Chicken Pasta, both of which entered Tesco stores on 19 October. This expansion reflects the brand’s aim to meet shoppers who look for quick meals that also deliver a solid protein boost.
Product details and pricing
The Honey BBQ Pulled Pork arrives in a 160 g pack that delivers 33 g of protein and is priced at £3.25. It is promoted as a versatile component that works well in wraps, jacket potatoes, and rice bowls, giving customers several serving ideas.
The Pesto Chicken Pasta is offered as a larger 400 g chilled ready meal, providing 34 g of protein and carrying a recommended retail price of £4. It is positioned as a hearty pasta option that can be heated and served straight from the fridge.
These launches follow a busy September for the brand, during which Pan-Cooked From Frozen meals and High Protein Paprika Wedges were introduced. The company has also moved into Sainsbury’s with an Asian-inspired ready-meal duo, showing a broader strategy to increase shelf space across the major UK retailers.
Segun Akinwoleola, founder of The Gym Kitchen, said the new products fit easily into modern lifestyles and offer a range of flavours for customers. He noted that the continued product development is a key part of the company’s growth strategy across retail and convenience channels.
The pricing structure places the Honey BBQ Pulled Pork slightly below the Pesto Chicken Pasta, reflecting the difference in portion size and packaging. This tiered approach gives shoppers the ability to choose between a smaller snack-style portion and a larger main-course offering.
