OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WLOX) – The Shed in Ocean Springs is no stranger to the Food Network, having been featured in programs before.
However, on Wednesday at The Shed, all eyes were on the food truck contestants. Pro wrestlers were added to the recipe to encourage teamwork.
“We are going to get fed at The Shed, our trucks are here today, and we have also some pro wrestlers, so it’s going to be this fun meet and greet with everybody. The food trucks are some of the best we’ve ever had in the history of the race, the food is fantastic.”, says Chef Tyler Florence, the host of the show.
Max Caster and Anthony Bowens, better known as “The Acclaimed,” and “The Gunns” brothers Colten and Austin Gunn were split up to support different trucks throughout the day.
“The two we were working with, seemed delicious, smelled great, looked great…,” said Colten Gunn.
“We’re going to greet, we’re going to meet, and we’re going to eat, and I’m very excited for that,” said Max Caster.
The Shed is one of the many stops for the show.
“So, season 17 is going to be so much fun because we are hitting the entire Gulf of Mexico… we’ve been shooting for about 3 and a half weeks now,” said Tyler Florence.
The wrestlers talk up the food with the coast customers… Austin Gunn says there’s something for everyone.
“If you’re not feeling a poboy, go get a waffle. There are just multiple options, we’re having a great time here. It’s a crazy venue, super cool.” he said.
The winning food truck will be awarded $50,000.
The episodes shot along the coast water in June.
If you didn’t catch the food trucks at The Shed, here’s where else along the Coast you can find them this week.
